Hello! My name is Greg Schwarze and I am proud to be your DuPage County Board Member in District 6. I served over 13 years as a Carol Stream Village Trustee and was elected to the County Board in November 2020. DuPage County is a diverse and wonderful place. I’ve raised my family here and built my career in Carol Stream. I am a recently retired, proud 28-year union firefighter and will be a strong voice for the working class.

Recently voted to purchase and supply new interoperable radios for all police and firefighters in DuPage ETSB system, protecting our first responders and saving municipalities (and tax payers) hundreds of thousand of dollars

Working to enact a 2-1-1 phone system to allow 24-hour service to those in need of County social service help

- Infrastructure updates to Village Hall and the Police Station –On-time and under budget

- Worked to improve public safety at Carolshire Condominiums fixing over 100 code violations leading to safer facilities and reduction in crime
- Worked with the Park District to sell 6-acres for the building for the Fountain View Recreation Center
- Build new “Veterans Memorial Park” at the Town Center
- Advocated for the environment by creating a pollinator meadow
- Removed hundreds of dead/diseased ash trees as a result of the emerald ash borer and planted hundreds of new trees in their place.
